Successful Online Flirting: Six Tips for Men

What works for “brick and mortar” flirting will also work for online flirting. Flirting is an art form and all good online dating relationships begin with successful flirting!

Effective flirting really is a skill that requires you to be confident without being over the top. If you overstep your boundaries, it’s very likely that the lady will think that you are “slimy”. If you hold back, it’s probable that she’ll find you “wimpy”.

The challenge is to ride that fine line between being slimy and wimpy. You will also need to do it all online without having the benefit of eye contact or body language.

All you have is a computer, Internet access and your membership to an online dating site, right?

1. Have fun! Be light-hearted, upbeat, funny and entertaining. Keep it playful. You’ll make her look forward to emailing or chatting with you again.

2. Ooze confidence. Successful flirts have a positive outlook on life. You need to transmit that “feel good” factor. An optimistic attitude and confidence will attract women to you like a fragrant flower attracts bees.

3. Compliment her… and you should do it often, but be subtle and sincere. Mention her great smile, or the cute dog in her photo, or that you admire the fact that she plays the guitar. Nothing will open doors for you like making her feel good about herself. She will be eager to spend more time with you and to meet you and if she pays you a compliment in return, always respond with a “thank you”. Under no circumstances be self-deprecating – it will just make you look wimpy.

4. Listen to her and then listen some more. Pay attention to what she has to say and ask her appropriate questions at the right time. This will
encourage her to open up and talk about herself. Make her feel that she is truly interesting and that you are interested in her. This will work wonders for your budding relationship!

5. Don’t be rude. Flirting does not give you the right to be sexually explicit nor does it mean that you should take offense if the lady doesn’t respond to you. If she isn’t interested, save yourself the trouble and move on to your next prospect. If you find that you’re receiving many rejections, you will want to reconsider your approach.

6. Send an email after you have chatted. This is the same as sending a thank-you note after receiving a gift and it is vital to successful flirting.

Flirting is the first step to a successful relationship and it should be fun and never a chore! However, your aim is not to spend too much time online, but to head for that first date so that you can test whether there is real chemistry between you. If the flirting has gone well, she’ll be open to meeting you. If she’s not interested, move on to the next candidate. You’ll notice that you’re getting better at it each time and before you know it, you’ll have met your match!

When jumping online, use these 3 Online Flirting Success Keys and 10 Email Enticers that can help you get to first dates faster.

These advice tips are based on hundreds of interviews with active internet daters for my book, SMART Man Hunting -How to Get Out There, Get Dates, and Get Mr. Right (or Ms. Right).

Three keys to online flirting success:

1. Humor is your ally.
A 35-year-old male film editor told me, “It depends on the person. You need to be able to read the person to tell what kind of humor you can get away with. Humor is definitely sexy Humor is definitely sexy, and so is confidence because girls pick that up.”

2. Keep it simple.
Use light-hearted emails with an upbeat tone to attract dates online. A 42-year-old accountant told me, “I can tell if I am interested in three or four sentences.”

3. Hand out compliments.
One of the best ways to flirt online is to extend a sincere compliment. One guy told me, “I always try to say something subtle but sincere try to say something subtle but sincere try to say something subtle but sincere.” You might say to someone who plays the piano, “I think it is awesome that you play piano.” He added, “Be sincere and don’t throw out phony baloney.”

Apple iPhone – Worth the Fuss?

Posted in Uncategorized

At the beginning of 2007, Apple Computer unveiled a revolutionary new device called the iPhone, which is much more than just another smart phone. The Apple iPhone is a major step in convergence technology, or the combining of a variety of popular hand-held electronic devices into one spectacular package.

The Apple iPhone is first and foremost a wireless phone device. It is also an MP3 music player and video player (would you expect less from the innovators of the iPod?), an internet surfing device and a digital camera all in one unit. Similar to its Apple cousins such as the iPod Video and iPod Nano, the iphone is slim, sleek and stylish.

Steve Jobs, the mastermind behind Apple, projects that the new Apple iPhone will be an immediate hit and that over 10 million units will be in the marketplace by 2008. However, Apple fans who have been anticipating the device for almost four years, believe that to be a low estimate.

One of the unique features of the Apple iPhone is the widescreen iPod function that touts touch screen controls which allow you to easily find and enjoy all of your media content, including your songs, audiobooks, movies and TV shows. The bright and sharp display is an amazing 3.5 inch widescreen format, providing unparalleled viewing for such a device.

iPhone users are able to visually scroll through their collection of songs, albums, artists or playlists with just a simple stroke of the finger. One great feature is that the new unit can display album cover artwork so that you are able to use a cool feature called “cover flow” to browse through your musical library by viewing the album artwork. This is a feature Mac computer users are familiar with and, as well, the iPhone can easily sync up your content from the iTunes library on your Mac or PC.

As far as the cell phone functions of the new Apple iPhone is concerned, it stands apart from any competing phone with its ease of use and simple visual access. You can initiate a call just by pointing with your finger at a name or a number in the address book, in a favorites list or from your call log. All the contacts on your computer, Mac or PC or other device, will automatically sync. And, voicemail has a new wrinkle on the iPhone. You can scroll through a list of voice messages and listen to the ones you want to and in the order you want to, just like you do with your email. Calls are seamlessly merged with a quick touch of a button, creating conference calls on-the-fly.

With the iPhone you can enjoy text messaging with SMS software that has a predictive QWERTY keyboard that corrects mistakes. Since it is a “soft” keyboard, it is larger than anything found on other smart phones and it gets completely out of your way when not needed.

Integrated into the Apple iPhone is also a 2-megapixel digital camera, with a hearty photo management application that is completely different from anything else available on the market. You can sync the photos to your computer, email them or browse them with a touch of the screen. And, with a twist of the wrist, changing the orientation of the phone automatically changes the orientation of the screen from landscape to portrait, giving you the best view of the photo seamlessly.

The iPhone also features the Safari browser, a favorite Mac software and you can automatically sync your bookmarks from your Mac or PC. Safari has built-in search functions powered by Google and Yahoo! and you can read a web page at the same time that you are downloading your email in the background.

If you would like to be able to replace three or four of your hand-held devices with one device that is well-designed and on the cutting edge of technology, then the Apple iPhone is probably a good choice for you. It promises to revolutionize the communications industry.

Apple iPhone Review: Features Galore!

Posted in Uncategorized

Even before the new Apple iPhone was available to the public, there was a constant stream of one iPhone review following another from all around the country, both in print publications and in online publications and blogs.

In virtually every iPhone review, the reviewers are in general agreement about calling the iPhone a wonderful leap forward in the technology of smart phones. It has raised the bar, so to speak, for all other manufacturers of such portable multi-functional devices.

But, there are also some reported downsides to the Apple iPhone, as reported in an iPhone review or two. Some of the reported negatives are: the slowness of the Edge network, the poor coverage of AT&T’s service areas, poor voice quality, the lack of sufficient business tools and the absence of some important features, according to some users.

You could spend hours online looking up one Apple iPhone review after another, but in this article we have collected the highlights of cell phone reviews on the iPhone for your convenience. You can quickly get a broad view of the opinions, good and bad, from the various reviewers of smart phone news.

The most extensive iPhone review seems to come from the Engadget site. According to Engadget, the iPhone is not as easy to work with as many had hoped and they claim that those who are seeking a strong productivity tool will need to look elsewhere. They go on to say that the Safari browser falls short of Apple’s stated intent of providing “the internet in your pocket,” but that it is still by far the most advanced browser on a mobile platform available, although vexed by frequent crashes.

Information Week seemed to be enjoying using the device in their Apple iPhone review. They stated that the iPhone is a real pleasure to use and the reviewer claimed to be frequently distracted by the iPhone, simply because of wanting to pull it from his shirt pocket to “fact-check”, as well as giving him an excuse to play with the device.

According to the Apple iPhone review by Fox News, the reviewer liked the iPhone overall, but did not like the phone component of the device. He stated that if your primary priority is to have a top-quality phone and messaging tool, then the iPhone does not fit the bill. The reviewer goes on to indicate that the call quality is not up to today’s standards, some key instant messaging features were omitted and the virtual soft keyboard is frustrating to operate.

But, PC Mag is also having a great deal of fun with the device, according to their iPhone review. They claim that it is the best portable media player by far and that they had “possibly the most fun” that they had ever experienced using a handheld device. Unlike other reviewers, they claim that the iPhone’s browser works “like a champ.” However, they also found the messaging functions to be weak and overall, declared that the device is “full of contradictions.”

In the PC World Apple iPhone review, they want to send out a gentle warning, saying that it is expensive and has some significant drawbacks. They suggested that the wisest route is to be patient and wait for the next version to be released, which will surely have many of the kinks worked out. They are hopeful that it will be running on a faster wireless network which will ease frustrations as well.

In addition, the iPhone review in PC World goes on to express what the biggest fans of the Apple iPhone feel, that it is a tough to be patient waiting on improvements after you have the sense that you have already touched and experienced the future.
