Hands Free Devices for Used Cell Phones
Author: Editor

Posted in bluetooth phones

In the past few years, many states have passed laws that make it illegal for drivers to talk on their cellphones while driving if they do not use a hands-free device. People caught without a hands-free device are issued a ticket and are forced to pay a fine for their first offense. Penalties increase for repeat offenders. The theory behind these new laws is that they allow drivers to keep both hands free to steer, shift, etc. and allow the driver to focus more on driving instead of holding a phone against their ear.

The most common hands free device is a Bluetooth earpiece. This wireless solution simply clips over the ear, allowing you to speak without holding the phone. To use a Bluetooth device, just associate it with any Bluetooth capable cell phone. Today, most new cell phones, as well as many used cell phones, are Bluetooth capable.

If you own an older used cell phone, it may lack Bluetooth technology. Do not worry, however, as there are still hands-free solutions that will work with any kind of phone. The most common is a wired headset that resembles ear buds and connects to your phone with via a headphone-like jack. These devices perform the same function as a Bluetooth headset except they use a wire to transfer data to and from your phone and are also generally cheaper. They are available for nearly any model of phone made in the past 10 years, so even if you’re still using an older used Sprint Blackberry, you will be able to find a hands-free solution.

A hands free accessory is not just beneficial for driving. Even if you live in a state that does not require hands-free devices for driving, chances are you will find some benefit from being able to talk on your phone without using your hands, such as being able to type while on the phone (not while you’re driving!).

Another choice if you are looking for a way to make your used Blackberry hands free is to use a plug and play kit for your car, which usually draws power from your cigarette lighter. This tiny attachment contains a microphone and speaker, and can be attached to your dashboard, air conditioning vent, or another area in your car. Some people prefer these units because they do not involve sticking something in your ear. While some of these are wireless and rely on Bluetooth technology, others can be attached with a wire to your cell phone.

If you are on the fence about purchasing a used cell phone because you question the hands-free options that it will give you, hopefully this article has helped to ease some concern. Hands-free devices can be found for nearly any phone with a headphone jack and/or Bluetooth. Even if you live in a state that does not currently have a hands-free law, they probably will eventually, and the other benefits are often worth it.

Technology And Mobile & Ringtones
Author: Editor

Posted in mobile phone | |

We’ve come a long way from the first cell phones. The concept isn’t a new one; in fact in 1947 Douglas H. Ring and W. Rae Young, Bell Labs engineers, proposed hexagonal cells for mobile phones. The real launch of the first portable phones was in the early 80’s and now of course we have the ever popular mobile with more and more people looking to make use of iphone ringtones. At that time only the very wealthy or well to do individuals were able to afford those mobile phones. They were very large and heavy. Not something to be carried in your pant pocket or purse, this was something that weighed a few pounds.

As big as they were though, they didn’t have a clear sound and using them was a hassle and as they have evolved we can see how the ring tones for mobile phones have become such a popular thing. At first, all were designed for permanent installation in vehicles otherwise known as a “car phone”. Some of these bulky units were soon converted for use as “transportable” phones the size of a briefcase.

As we all tend to love our gadgets these days we see how popular video games have become and how game cheats for psp and other popular gaming platforms are something that people spend a great deal of time and energy researching and; looking to get the edge over their fellow gamers. As you may be looking to develop as a gamer or just as someone who is able to be an expert when it comes to gadgetry, take some time out to do as much research as you can – you may end up being the mobile phone midi ringtone and gaming expert.

As technology has advanced so have the capabilities of the cell phone. They don’t just send and receive calls now; they are capable of text messaging, emailing, taking pictures and video clips. The sizes have gotten smaller yet their abilities have improved as well as the quality of the free polyphonic ringtones.

As we continue to advance, so will the abilities of cell phones as we have seen with the advances made by the iphone and the blackberry. In the next few years, cell phone
networks will move data at several megabits per second, and will coexist with WiMax, Wi-Fi, and, for TV, DVB-H or MediaFLO. Whatever the technical terms, people just want to be able to have the very latest gadgetry and to be the first in their group to do so.

iPhone App Reviews: Aqua Moto Racing
Author: Editor

Posted in Apple Iphone | |

Our AppSmile Team is suffering from the winter blues here in icy Detroit. So when we can pick up our iPhones and enjoy the virtual sunshine while racing wave runners, we’re all over that! And that’s the whole point of Aqua Moto Racing. Resolution Interactive launched Aqua Moto Racing into the iTunes App Store on February 21, 2009 and it’s been selling well ever since.

This games is all about customization, web connectivity, and full-throttle racing!

Customization
Users are presented with a choice of up to 5 Profiles to customize. The Profile screen displays that user’s number of Trophies Collected as well as his or her total progress in the game. You can also choose your Appearance (Rider color and Vehicle Color).

Under the Options tab on the Main Menu, players can vary the Master Volume, SFX Volume, Music Volume, and Input Sensitivity.

Web Connectivity
When you create a new Profile, you can create an account with Resolution Interactive. Then you can choose if you want your stats uploaded to their server and displayed on the Rankings tab of the Main Menu – pretty cool. Resolution has also informed AppSmile that they are seriously looking into a Wi-Fi multiplayer feature. Hopefully they will have this done by the next AMR upgrade. Cool!

Full-Throttle Racing
All right, now to the good stuff – Racing! Races take place in Championships and Time Trials. There are 6 Championships that test your skill from Beginner Stock (easy) to Pro Open (hard). Within each Championship are a number of race courses. You need to get first place in one Championship in order to unlock the next. Championship wins gain you points that can be used for tuning you watercraft. Once you successfully complete a Championship, those courses are also unlock and available to race in the Time Trial section.

Steering is accomplished through the accelerometer and your watercraft’s acceleration is controlled automatically. You’ll need to get steering down pat as buoys have to be passed on the left and right to guide you through the course. Sharper turns can be made by touching the screen’s left side (brake). Push the right side of the screen to boost your watercraft past opponents. Raise your Boost levels by properly passing buoys. Another way is by performing mid-air tricks. Just quickly tilt the iPhone up when jumping to activate Stunt Mode. There are six different stunts you can perform. Tap the bottom of the iPhone screen to get a rear view. Don’t hold this too long or you’ll get disoriented. Just hold it long enough to see where the other racers are behind you. This comes in handy since AMR doesn’t display a overview map.

The reaction of your watercraft while racing as amazing. You’ll think you’re actually on the water. The graphics are also outstanding. Resolution dotted all the i’s when they designed in water reflections, waves, splash effects, and virtual buoyancy. The racer interaction also deserves another “well done.”

The iPhone is quickly becoming the mobile gamers’ device of choice. And that’s because of games like Aqua Moto Racing.

The Seven Golden Rules of Power Tool Safety
Author: Editor

Posted in mobile phone tools

Every time you turn on any of your power tools you run the risk of catastrophic harm to your body. This sobering fact is always close to mind in the best woodworkers and other power tool using trades people, and it’s part of what keeps them safe. Furthermore, the safest people in the power tool using community know and follow the seven rules of power tool safety outlined for you below. Go to Industrial tools for more information.

This article is not intended to replace the importance of reading the safety instructions in the manual that comes with every power tool… Be careful and be safe.

1) You Are The Most Dangerous Power Tool
Power tool users debate at great length about which is actually the most dangerous power tool. There’s widespread agreement however that the number one most dangerous power tool is the operator himself, as there are very few cases of any power tools leaping out to attack randomly. Remember that every time you turn on a power tool it’s you who are responsible for having the same number of fingers when you turn it off. This may seem like an obvious statement but it’s the arrogant, cocky and negligent power tool users who end up forgetting this cardinal truth.

2) All Tools are Equally Dangerous, but Some are More Frequently Harmful
Every tool in your tool box can be dangerous to you if you forget the cardinal rule, but some are definitely more frequent causes of trips to the emergency room. You should exercise caution especially when you pick up that box cutter of yours to break down some boxes. Also, the table saw is widely considered one of the most frequent manglers of fingers, as is the radial arm saw, the shaper and the chain saw. Visit tools for further information.

3) Keep Your Tools Sharp, True, Clean and Running Smooth
Tool maintenance is another key factor in power tool safety. You should study the manual that comes with all of your power tools to learn how and how often you should be sharpening, aligning and cleaning your tool. And always be on the look out for changes in its operating function – listen for funny noises or any jiggles that may develop. These are signs that you need to spend some time getting your manual out and make some adjustments. A calendar in your shop that you can mark with tool maintenance times is a good idea too.

4) Keep Your Work Space Tidy, Well Lit and Distraction Free
Whether you’re working in your basement shop or a job site it’s vital that you keep it clean, well lit and free from distractions. The cleanliness and tidiness means that you won’t be tripping over any bits and pieces that you’ve left around. Get into the habit of cleaning up after yourself as you work and you’ll be well along your way to preventing any major problems with work-site accidents. Strong lighting too is vital to any power tool operation as the lighting is what keeps your fingers away from the blade and shows you exactly where blades are at all times. Get as many watts as possible on your next job and you’ll keep yourself out of the emergency room. Finally, make sure that there’s no music on that could distract you, or cell phones or anything else that pulls your attention away from where it needs to be. Refer to tools for more information.

5) Purchase or Make the Appropriate Safety Accessories
Woodworkers have their push sticks, feather boards and push blocks to make sure that they keep their cuts as true as possible while keeping their fingers away from the blade. Many power tools have common safety accessories and it’s up to you to make sure that you’ve learned as much as you can about each one and that you use it effectively to protect yourself from catastrophic injury.

6) Keep a First Aid Kit Handy
In addition to the normal stuff like bandages and peroxide you’re going to want to keep a couple of extra items handy that have a grizzly importance. Keep a plastic garbage bag handy for transporting any severed limbs with you to the hospital. Further, a hand mirror is vital for checking on your face in the case of a facial injury. Have these items available and hope that you never have to use them.

7) Always Trust Your Instincts
Most power tool operators report a little twinge of conscience right before they get hurt on a power tool. A little voice or feeling that says “hm… this isn’t safe.” If you get that feeling then stop what ever you’re doing right away. Further, it’s often when people try old jobs in new ways – that they just make up on the spot without thinking through – that they get hurt too. So pay attention to that little voice inside of you and you’ll be much more likely to stay safe!

Remember – it’s up to you to keep yourself safe when using power tools. Always read the manuals and remember the seven rules of power tool safety!

In 2006, LG’s company mobile phone division, LG Mobile, marketed the LG Chocolate phone, changing the company’s range of the maker of thick 3G phones. It now focuses on the innovation and merchandising of phones such as the LG Shine, the LG Glimmer and LG Prada (KE850). Go to mobile solutions for more information.

As a result, the company was chosen as “The Design Team of the Year” by the Red Dot Design Award in 2006~2007 and is frequently called the “New Apple” in the industry and online communities.

These cellphones are one of the top manufactures in the mobile communication industry, in fact they are number three which is probably one of the reasons why their revenue is up around $68.8 billion dollars!

The company was originally established in 1958 as GoldStar when they started distributing products such as radios, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners.

For those of you wondering what LG stands for its actually connected to their slogan which is “Life’s Good” but it is also derived from “Lucky” which is what the household products were sold under and obviously Goldstar – LG.

The company now produces such products as Mobile communications, digital appliances, digital displays, and digital media. Some of the most popular items from this company are listed below in these categories:

LG Xpion – Presenting the LG XPION X600 which is perfect for gaming as well as for creating HD content. The PC is powered by Intel Dual Core Pentium D945 3.4GHz processor and comes with 1GB of DDR2 Memory.

It comes with the LG GBW-H10N Super Multi Blue drive so you can connect your digital camcorder and write those high-def memories on a Blu-Ray disc. Gamers wont be disappointed either as it comes with GeForce 7900GT graphics card with 256MB memory.

Before you get bright ideas of downloading movies and starting your private Blu-Ray library the XPION X600 is equipped with High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP), a form of digital rights management (DRM) developed by Intel.

The only disappointing feature is the 320GB hard drive we were looking for at least 750 GB or 1 TB. Other than this it has a 14 in 1 card reader for viewing your still memories.

LG Rumor – The LG Rumor/LG Scoop is a phone that was released by Sprint Nextel in September 2007 [4]. This phone features a QWERTY keyboard that slides out from the right side. 5-way navigation keys are located on the main panel of the phone, but not present on the keyboard.

A 176×220 pixel screen rotates as the keyboard is open, but has no contrast controls. The 1.3 megapixel camera lacks an LED flash and a self-portrait mirror but does have negative, sepia, black & white tones, borders and an image enhancer to customize a picture.

Basic MP3 playing functions are embedded in this phone, with the capability of expanding music storage via MicroSD card (125 to 1,000 music files depending on file size, encoding method, and card capacity). The music player will not launch unless a card is inserted in the phone, and will not accept a card with the capacity over 4 GB.

LG enV2 (VX9100) – The styling of this phone has been updated from the previous versions. It’s slimmer (40% slimmer than original enV), lighter (30% lighter than original enV), and more pocketable than the previous versions.

Its styling is made more comfortable and easier to handle and text, its shaped like a rectangle (almost like a fancy calculator) with both front and back of phone being a flat surface (unlike the original enV). The back of the phone is made of a black soft surface making it more comfortable to handle. Its styling follows that of the LG Voyager (VX10000), which is the other successor to the LG enV (VX9900) and the LG The V (VX9800) phones. Refer to mobile solutions for more information.

The Env2 was released in Canada in August, 2008 as the LG Keybo from Telus. The enV2 is a popular phone for social teens and people who require a full qwerty keyboard for texting purposes.

LG Voyager (VX10000) – The LG VX10000, also known as the Verizon Voyager or LG VX10K, is an Internet-enabled multimedia mobile phone designed by LG Electronics and exclusively marketed by Verizon Wireless.

The external screen is touch enabled with a virtual keyboard and buttons. It features an internal screen for use with the included full QWERTY keyboard. Both screens of the Voyager have WQVGA resolution.

The Voyager’s functions include those of a camera phone and a portable media player, in addition to text messaging, and Internet services including e-mail and web browsing. It is a dual-band mobile phone that uses the CDMA standard. It supports the EVDO data technology.

Of course if you absolutely had to compare this original company or cellphone to another company that is better, I would absolutely have to pick the Nokia N96, HTC Touch Diamond, and the Motorola MOTOKRZR K1. So lets take a look at these as well since I have you here!

Nokia N96 – N96 8GB Smartphone works with AT&T and T Mobile service only. The N96 Smartphone has 16GB Internal flash memory, a microSD memory card slot (hot swappable), a digital music player, 5MP camera and downloadable maps.

HTC Touch Diamond – Re-defining the perception of advanced mobile phones, the HTC Touch Diamond signals a giant leap forward in combining hi-tech prowess with intuitive usability and exhilarating design. Featuring a sharp 2.8-inch touch screen housed within a stunning formation of brushed metal and flawless faceted edges, the HTC Touch Diamond is as beautiful to behold as it is to use.

With HTC’s vibrant touch-responsive user interface, TouchFLO 3D, and ultra-fast HSDPA internet connectivity, the HTC Touch Diamond offers a rich online experience to rival a notebook computer, allowing you to interact with Google, YouTube, and Wikipedia as freely as you would with a broadband connection.

Motorola MOTOKRZR K1 – This quad-band phone is only 16mm deep and the cool exterior will definitely turn heads in a crowd. There are two displays on this phone. The first display is an external screen that shows the time and notifies you of incoming text messages and calls. The main display is where you primarily interact with the phone. Visit mobile solutions for more information.
